Hello all. So after some technical difficulties, we have managed to get some sort of website running via an internet cafe near our place.

The trip here was pleasantly uneventful. Long flights and a poor sleep in the Delhi airport but we arrived in Katmandu with no major delays. Keith, who we're working for, met us at the airport and showed us around town. Katmandu is a huge, busy, rather dirty city and we're thankful that we won't be spending too much time here. The next morning we took an eight hour bus west to Pokhara where we'll be living for the next few months. We've settled into our room at a little hotel right in the tourist area of town. Pokhara is a popular spot for trekkers, tourists and hippies.

We'll be working in a Tibetan refugee camp about 15km outside of town. Keith has gotten some seed money from CIDA and is trying to help the tibetans find ways of supporting themselves by starting small businesses. Some of the ventures include a restaurant, trekking/tour company, electric shop, and goat farm. First, we're making a website for the camp in general to help boost tourist traffic.
